Maderas García Varona is a business group committed to integral management of forests' products, carry on a 360º harnessing of the raw material provided by French forests (mainly white oak and American red oak).

Maderas García Varona
The origin of our activity is found in the forest exploitation of Spanish oak. In 1964 we gave way to industrial activity with the inauguration of our sawmill in Santelices (Burgos).
Later, our factory in Villarcayo started producing solid wood flooring, where we manufacture under the brand SOLQUER parquets. We have a wide range of solid wood flooring, mainly European white oak, although we also have other species like red oak, chestnut, walnut, pine, larch, lawson and beech.
At first, our warehouse was placed in Raos Industrial Estate in Santander, but we moved to the current location (Parbayón, Cantabria) at the beginning of 21th century.
Our quality commitment has led us to control the whole process of manufacturing our products, from the selection of the trunk to the final finishing. So, we can manufacture on request according to the customer’s specifications.
In addition, our wood comes from European forests managed in a sustainable way, in other words, so that they maintain their biodiversity, productivity and regeneration capacity.
We generate local employment but we have an international vision. We export more than 60% of our production to the rest of Europe (France, Germany, Italy, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey...), America (United States), Africa (Morocco) and Asia (Indonesia, China).
